With almost 25% of first-year students leaving before their second year, post-secondary life and education can be challenging. Students often feel overwhelmed, lonely, isolated, and have difficulty adjusting to the demands of college and university. Emotional Intelligence is related to both grades and retention.
The Emotional Intelligence Assessment Tool - The EQi 2.0
A growing body of research suggests that your emotional intelligence is a better predictor of success in life than your cognitive intelligence (IQ).
The EQ-i 2.0® (developed by Reuven BarOn, Ph.D in 1997 and enhanced by MHS in 2011) has been used by over one million individuals worldwide and is the first scientifically developed and validated measure of emotional intelligence.
The EQ-i 2.0® measures fifteen distinct aspects of emotional and social functioning within five major areas to better understand and individual’s ability to deal with daily environmental pressures and demands.
